Step 1/3
Add 3 tablespoons of Iswari Organic Shelled Hemp Seeds, a large handful of fresh basil, 1 garlic clove, juice of half a lemon, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, and a pinch of salt to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning — add more lemon or salt as needed.
Step 2/3
Cook 200g of your favourite pasta (spaghetti or fusilli work well) in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Reserve a small cup of pasta water before draining.
Step 3/3
Toss the drained pasta with the hemp seed pesto, adding a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed. Divide into bowls and top with extra hemp seeds, fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of olive oil. Serve immediately.
