A two-step routine for dry facial skin: a fruit-acid nourishing mask and a rich day cream, both certified organic, gift-wrapped in tissue paper.
What is in the set
-
Radiance Nutrition Mask, 50 ml tube. Fruit acids, jojoba oil and shea butter. Used once or twice a week rather than daily.
-
Intense Nutrition Cream, 50 ml jar. Aloe vera, shea butter, jojoba oil and royal jelly. A melting texture for daily use on dry skin.
Fruit acids: what they are and what they require of you
"Fruit acids" means alpha hydroxy acids — glycolic, lactic, malic, citric, tartaric. They work by loosening the bonds between dead cells at the skin surface so those cells shed more readily, which is where the "radiance" comes from: you are seeing fresher skin, not added glow.
This has a consequence the packaging rarely spells out. AHAs increase the skin's sensitivity to UV light, and that sensitivity persists for about a week after use. If you use this mask, use sunscreen on your face the following days — not because the product is dangerous, but because the whole point of it is to remove the layer that was providing a little passive protection. This is not an optional refinement; it is the correct way to use any AHA product.
Royal jelly — and what it means for the set
The Intense Nutrition Cream contains royal jelly, the secretion worker bees feed to larvae. It is an animal product, so this set is not vegan. It also matters medically: royal jelly is a documented cause of allergic reactions, including asthma and anaphylaxis, particularly in people with existing asthma or atopy. Cases are rare but well described in the literature, and most involve ingestion rather than topical use. If you are asthmatic or allergic to bee products, patch test, or choose the shea-based set instead.
What we are not going to claim
The manufacturer's copy says the cream "strengthens the skin barrier". What is defensible is narrower: occlusive fats such as shea and jojoba reduce water loss from the skin surface, which makes dry skin more comfortable and less prone to the cracking that lets irritants in. That is a real and useful effect. It is not the same as rebuilding a barrier, and we would rather describe the mechanism than repeat the slogan.
