The evening one. A 200 ml creamy body wash from Weleda's Aroma Shower range, with a warm, calming essential oil blend and a richer, more lotion-like texture than the Energy version.
Creamy, and why that matters. The difference between a clear gel and a creamy wash is not only how it feels. Creamy washes contain a higher proportion of emollients — oils and fatty materials suspended in the formula — which are left behind on the skin as the surfactants rinse away. On dry skin, on skin in winter, or on anyone who showers daily, that residue is the difference between skin that feels comfortable afterwards and skin that feels tight.
An evening shower is worth more than people think. Not because of the scent, but because of your body temperature. Core temperature has to fall for sleep to begin, and a warm shower an hour or two before bed brings blood to the skin surface where heat is shed — so once you get out, your core temperature drops faster than it otherwise would. This has been studied properly and the effect on how quickly people fall asleep is real. A warm shower and a calming scent together are a much better sleep ritual than either alone — and the scent works because smell runs directly into the limbic system, without the relay every other sense goes through.
What we are not claiming. That the essential oils sedate you. Lavender and similar aromatics have been studied for anxiety and sleep with mixed and mostly modest results, and the strongest and most reliable component is association: a scent you consistently use at bedtime becomes a cue for bedtime. That is a genuinely useful thing, and it is worth stating accurately rather than dressing up.
