This is the everyday one
Worth stating plainly, because ATTITUDE make several Super Leaves shampoos and the names do not make the difference obvious. The Lemon Leaves & White Tea shampoo is a clarifying shampoo — a weekly reset that strips build-up. This one is the gentle daily shampoo. If you buy only one, buy this one.
Jojoba is not an oil
A genuinely interesting piece of chemistry. Jojoba "oil" is a liquid wax ester, not a triglyceride like olive or coconut oil. That matters because human sebum — the oil your scalp produces — is around a quarter wax esters, which makes jojoba structurally closer to your own skin's oil than almost any plant oil is.
The practical consequences: it absorbs rather than sitting greasily on the surface, it is very stable and resistant to going rancid, and it is well tolerated by most skin. It is one of the few botanical ingredients where the mechanism genuinely supports the reputation.
Quinoa protein
Hydrolysed plant proteins are broken into fragments small enough to adhere to the hair shaft, where they temporarily fill in gaps in a damaged cuticle. The effect is real, modest and temporary — it lasts until the next wash. That is not a criticism: nothing repairs hair, because hair is dead protein with no capacity to heal. Products can smooth, coat and protect it. Anything promising repair is describing a cosmetic effect in medical language.
Silicone-free, and what that feels like at first
Silicones are not harmful. They coat the hair shaft with a film that feels instantly slippery and looks glossy, and that film builds up over time and needs a sulphate shampoo to remove.
Going silicone-free means that for the first two to four weeks hair often feels rougher, because you are feeling the hair itself rather than a coating. It usually settles. Nobody warns people about this, which is why so many abandon silicone-free products in the first fortnight and conclude they do not work.
What is in it and what is not
No parabens, no SLES, no silicones, no PEGs, no formaldehyde releasers, no synthetic fragrance. Vegan, cruelty-free, dermatologist-tested, made in Canada, around 97% naturally sourced. EWG VERIFIED, which requires full disclosure of the fragrance composition.
