Orange leaf, not orange peel
Worth knowing what you are actually smelling. Orange leaf gives petitgrain — green, slightly bitter, woody-floral — which is a completely different scent from the sweet citrus of orange peel. The same tree yields three distinct perfume materials: neroli from the blossom, petitgrain from the leaves and twigs, and orange oil from the peel. This is the leaf. It is the most grown-up of the three.
Body and hair
ATTITUDE describe this as a shower gel and shower shampoo. That is honest — mild surfactant systems work perfectly well on hair — but it is worth managing expectations. A 2-in-1 is a genuine convenience for travel, for the gym bag, for short hair and for children. For long, dry, curly or colour-treated hair, a dedicated shampoo and conditioner will do better, because a body wash is not formulated to be followed by a conditioning step.
"Biodegradable" — what it does and does not tell you
It means the ingredients break down under defined test conditions rather than persisting. That is a real and desirable property, and it distinguishes plant-derived surfactants from some persistent synthetic ones.
It is also a term with limits worth knowing. Biodegradable does not mean harmless to aquatic life before it degrades, and it does not describe the bottle. Most shower gel goes into a municipal wastewater system that treats it anyway. The strongest environmental argument for a product like this is not the word on the label — it is the transparency behind the EWG VERIFIED mark, which requires every ingredient to be disclosed, fragrance included.
